So the rules:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award with their blog link on your post.
2. Answer the following 4 questions.
3. Award the Blogger Appreciation Award to as many others as you'd like.
4. Let the blogger know you've just awarded them.

How long have you been blogging? I actually started my blog about two years ago, but I have only recently been posting consistently as of this year.

What are 1-2 reasons you started blogging? I started blogging because I wanted something that I could look back on and see what I was doing a year ago. Also I thought it would be a great idea to share things I love online, photography, make-up, and thrifting.

What type of blogs do you like to follow/read?I obviously love make up blogs, but I like a lot of other ones too like fashion, home decor, food, and diy. Any blog that I find that the person seems really genuine.

What is one thing you would like to improve on as a blogger on your blog? I definitely think that my writing could be improved. Also how I would like to increase the number of posts and how often they are done. Also I would love to interact more with other bloggers!

Thrifty Haul!

This past weekend I went to the Woodstock Market because it was their "Junk Day" with my Grandmother, Aunt, and some of my cousins. It is really cool I've been to their market that they have on the 1st weekend of each month.  The "Junk day" is more of a yard sale type atmosphere and prices are a lot less. I found a few really great items that I thought I would share with y'all.

Picnic basket, Vintage Coach purse, and vintage Pyrex mixing bowl.
Here is my Picnic basket! It had a tag on it for $12, but then I haggled down to half price. It was getting towards the end of the day and I think that the lady was ready to get rid of stuff. I think it will be really nice to have a little picnic with my boyfriend with it. Also I think it would be a great photography prop.

Then my Blue Pyrex mixing bowl! I love vintage glassware anything Fireking or Pyrex I collect. I was really excited to find this bowl. It was $4 the man would not take anything less for it, but when I walked around more there was a lady that had the same bowl and wanted $10 for it. This bowl is the smallest in a set of 4 that have a large yellow bowl, a green bowl, medium size red bowl, and then the small blue bowl!

The lastly is my vintage COACH bag! I was so excited to find this. I am not sure whet the name of the bag is but it is like a small saddle/cross body bag. I think it is pretty old and it is worn but being worn does not really matter when you hear the price. $10!!!!!!! The lady had $12 on it and I asked if she would take anything less for it. I have not used it yet when I got home I used some saddle soap and Chelsea food to try and help the leather. There is a weird spot at the top and some pen marks but for $10 I can not complain at all.

I hope y'all have enjoyed my thrifty haul! If you enjoy seeing what I pick up on my trips out and about let me know. I think that this is a good kind of post to throw into the mix instead of just waiting on trying make up for reviews.

Cruise Time!

Image from http://www.carnival.com

Hey guys! As of this week my family has decided that we are going on a cruise this summer! I'm pretty excited we leave July 7th and come back on the 12th. Its a 5 day Carnival cruise to the Bahamas, our ports of call are Half Moon Cay and Nassau. My family has never been on a cruise before so this will be an interesting experience. I'm going with my mom, dad, and my little brother who is 13.

I have not been out of the United States before, unless you count a little trip to Canada when I was a year old that I do not remember. This will be the first trip that I have to get a passport for!

If you have been on a cruise please tell me what your favorite thing from the cruise was!
If you haven't been on a cruise but have been to the Bahamas tell me your favorite thing about that trip!

Hot Mama- The Balm

Its time for the Hot Mama review! Again this is a blush that I received in the kit that I found at Marshalls and the blush ended up costing me around $3.34.

The blush is described as a pinky-peach hue on The Balm's website. I would say that this is an accurate description of the product. It also says that is has a slight highlighter in it also. I think what they mean by this is that is is shimmery, not in the there is glitter or little shimmer flakes that you can visibly see. I think that they mean that it has more of a satin finish.

I really like this color because of the tone and the slight shimmer. Because of the shimmer it does not lay flat on my face and illuminates my cheeks. I am not one for blush this is the only blush that I have ever bought myself usually I would sneak into my moms room and see if there was one in there if I felt like I needed one. But recently I have started wanting to experiment with blush which makes this kit another awesome buy for me. I do not wear blush every day, but I have been wearing this one a few times a week. My issue is that I naturally have reddish/pink cheeks and when I put on the blush it looks great but then after I have had it on for a while and my foundation has started to wear you can see my natural check color plus the blush which makes it kind of over whelming.

Blended into my hand
My final thought on the Hot Mama blush is that it is a good blush at the price I found at Marshalls, but I do not think I would buy it at full price. Especially since I am just beginning to use blusher. Actually when I found this set at the store my next stop was going to be Target so I could check out the E.L.F. blushes. When I found the set I realized that the 3 Balm products would cost the same as 3 E.L.F. products which sealed the deal for me. Also another thing that I have noticed since the bronzer review is that the packaging get dirty really quickly, especially the bronzer.

Bahama Mama- The Balm

Hey everyone! I said that I would do a post on the Bahama Mama bronzer that I got in the set that I found at Marshalls a few weeks ago. I have never really used a bronzer. I am generally tan and I never really thought that I needed one. I had been thinking about trying one after watching everyone rave about the NARS Laguna and other bronzers on Youtube. So I was very lucky when I found The Balm set that had a blush, bronzer, and powder in it.

Bahama Mama is a very matt bronzer. I think that this works well for my skin because I tend to get shiny because my skin is a combination of oily and normal. I have been using this with my ELF Total Face Brush and sweeping it over my cheeks and around my temples.
The Bronzer is on the left side of my hand, it kind of looks like a shadow on my hand.
My final thought is that it is a great bronzer for the basically $3.00 that I paid for it because it was in the set. I would definitely purchase this again at that price. On the Balms website it is $24.00 and I think it is an alright bronzer for that price. A thing to remember is that the NARS bronzers are $34.00, so if you want to spend ten more dollars then you might want to try that instead. Also the MAC blushes creme or powder are $20. Basically what I am saying is that if you can find this on a great sale grab it up.
