Mini Make Up Haul

I have started to run out of some of my normal make up so I went to CVS yesterday and grabbed some things to try out. I got the Revlon Naked Foundation in a darker shade. I am unsure how this is going to stay on my skin in the summer. I can get pretty shiny. So to combat that I also got the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in a translucent shade. Then when I was there I found some Revlon lip products on clearence, 75% off!!!! I was pretty happy. I got the Revlon Lip Butter in Cherry Tart. I really like this color it is a deeper red when compared to Candy Apple and has a little bit of glitter in it. Then I got the Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in Coral Reef. I am loving both of these.

I think that I might be doing a give away soon. Maybe a combination of Pyrex and some drugstore favorites? What do y'all think?

Updating website + Bloopers

Hello!!! I just did a few little updates on my website! I updated the color palette of the front page and I am still working on a couple of tweaks. However, I have been missing a self portrait on my about me page. I have been meaning to do it for a while. I know it makes people a little uncomfortable hiring a photographer and them not having a portrait of themselves up! Totally understandable! So yesterday I finally went out and took some portraits. It is so weird feeling taking photographs of yourself. It is hard for me to look like I am not having a fake smile. So at one point I just started taking some funny pictures. Here are a couple of my bloopers and funny face shots.

Trying to figure out if my camera is working. I was worried that my remote was giving me some issues. And I had to make sure it was working.
This is me making sure my camera was lined up. I went through a ton of photographs with my head cut off because I didn't scoot my tripod back far enough with my 85mm. For a random photograph I think that it is pretty cool shot of my skirt.
This was when I started to realize that my smile was getting a little bit of frozen looking.

This is the image that I went with for my website!!

Madewell Love

I love looking at Madewell's website! I discovered it through my Birchbox actually. They have done a partnership with Madewell before. One of the malls near where I live has a Madewell. Basically if I could have a store it would look exactly like Madewell. I love the way the store is decorated. The wooden shelves and the blue mason jars everywhere.

Here are some of the items that I love from Madewell.

Apartment Storage!

This summer I am planning on moving into my first apartment with my boyfriend Steve. Soon we are going to go look at a few places. I have one that I am pretty sure we will end up with. I have started my pre-planning. I am such a nester. I have lived way from my parents home when I went to Young Harris college. Since then I have been living at home because my parents house is close enough to school and it was economically smart. I am looking specifically at storage ideas because our apartment will be pretty small. Here are some ideas that I have found.

  • 3- Tier Hanging Wire Basket- $12.99, My mom had one of these when I was little. I love seeing fruit hanging in them. Great for keeping things off of the counter.

  • Owen Box With Chalkboard- $24.99, I think this will be really nice for mail. Keep it from ending up in random places.
  •  Natural Canvas Under-Bed Chest- $18.99, I really want under the bed storage. I do not think I will be able to get a new bed soon but these are a great alternative. Also you can find a cheaper version from Ikea Here.
  •  KASSETT Box (Pack of 2)- $4.99, I already own a ton of these. They make for great storage. I also like how you can label them!

  •  HEMNES Shoe cabinet with 2 compartments- $129.00, I love how this has a small drawer at the top. Could be used for belts or other random odds and ends. I definitely need some shoe storage.

I am going to be giving some updates on our apartment search and how I want to decorate. I am so excited to finally have some space of my own (with Steve of course)!
  •  We did go and look at the first apartment complex. I did not realize that they give a student discount! Now I want to go to the all and ask.

Life Update + Things I love Thursday

It has been a long week and a half. Steve and I had a great weekend at Road Atlanta for the Mitty. I will be sharing some photos of the beautiful cars in the next couple of days. This has been the last week of classes for me. This means a lot of studying and regretting procrastination. I stayed up Monday night till 4:30 a.m., horrible idea. I would not recommend waiting until the last minute to write an art history research paper. Also I have had a couple of final projects due. I am almost done though I have 2 actual final tests.

For one of my papers concentrated on a local brewery, Monday Night Brewing, and was able to interview one of the founders Joel Iverson. I think I will post this interview later this week. He was great to interview and their beer is amazing!

    1.  Atlanta Georgia Peach Print- $39, Bourbon and Boots, I love where I live. This print is amazing. I am going to buy one when I get my apartment!
    2. SoDelta’s Blue and Burlap Mason Jar Candle- $28, Bourbon and Boots, I think that this candle would be a great mothers day gift! I love blue mason jars and a candles. Great combo. One of the scents is called Sweet Tea. Right up my alley.
    3.  Limeade- Post from Salty Pineapple, My mother and I discovered this recipe last year and it is amazing. I really want to make some of this soon. It is the perfect summer drink!
    4. Tempest Blue Journal- $42.99 I love this journal, It has been on my wishlist since I discovered Etsy. I love the designs. They are amazing. Look like great quality.
    5. Rick Steve's Europe- Completely random but I have been watching Rick Steve's Europe on Hulu. Who knew that it was on there!!! Now I am sucked in.

    I love this series!!!!
